Erik Bruhn

Erik Belton Evers Bruhn was a Danish ballet dancer, choreographer, artistic director, actor, and author. He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1928.

He joined the Royal Danish Ballet to learn to dance when he was only 9 years old. After dancing for England’s Metropolitan Ballet for 6 months, he returned to the Royal Danish Ballet and was promoted to the rank of soloist in 1949. He has appeared and performed in a few movies during his career.
