Carlos Acosta

Carlos Yunior Acosta Quesada is a Cuban ballet dancer who was born in Havana in 1973. He was the youngest of a family of 11, and his father decided to enroll him in a state-funded dance school to keep him from getting in trouble. This is where he discovered his passion for ballet.

He has been compared to Mikhail Baryshnikov and Rudolf Nureyev, and has been called the greatest male dancer of his generation.
